Fresh Fruit With Creamy Sauce

This is a yummy recipe from Mastering the Zone by Barry Sears, PH.D. It makes a wonderful breakfast.

For those using the Zone eating system, this serves 2 (four blocks each)

2 C Low-fat cottage cheese
1/3 C applesauce
2 peaches
1/2 C grapes
1/3 C mandarin orange sections
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 apple, cored and sliced
8 t almonds, sliced
1/4 t cinnamon
1/8 t nutmeg

Combine cottage cheese, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a blender. Blend until smooth. Remove from blender and place in a small mixing bowl, then add fruit and gently blend together. Divide fruit mixture into two serving dishes, top with almonds, and serve.
